COVERING DEPENDENTS

You must provide documentation verifying the eligibility of any new dependents you want to cover under your Kindred benefits. For more information on eligibility verification and deadlines, read important information about covering dependents.

RIGHT TO APPEAL
If you miss a deadline you may have the opportunity to submit an appeal within 60 days of the coverage effective date or the date your rate increases as a result of a missed wellness program deadline. Please see the Benefits Enrollment/Wellness Appeal Request Form cover sheet found on the Resource Center page of the Kindred Benefits Marketplace for more details.

It’s the Law!

As part of the ACA, most Americans must have medical insurance or pay a federal tax penalty. Be sure you’re covered, either through your employer-sponsored plan or through another option available to you, such as your spouse’s employer plan or a government program like Medicare or Medicaid.

Summaries of Benefits and Coverage

You have access to a Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) for each of your medical plan options. These documents provide detailed information about coverage and costs to help you compare plans and make informed decisions. To access the SBCs, visit the Kindred Benefits Marketplace website.
